What has been introduced over 2023

In 2023, FXOpen introduced a number of new services and features to make trading more enjoyable and efficient.
1. FXOpen has announced the release of TickTrader 2.15
Improved platform capabilities were presented:
- Discover unparalleled organisation with our Implemented Order by Date (OBD) strategy for all account types: Navigate effortlessly through the New Order Dialog > Strategy > Order by Date (OBD) to streamline your order processes.
- Implemented a Backtester which makes it possible to test Algo bots and indicators on historical data: You may set up indicator/bot parameters, account settings, trade emulation settings and specify data feed settings. Analyse results in detail through Journal, Trade History, Chart, and Report tabs. Explore this powerful tool under Tools > Backtester.
- Efficient Symbols Feed Cache Management: Take control of your history feed cache with the Symbols Feed Cache Manager. Easily view, delete, export, and download your cache under Tools > Symbols Feed Cache Manager.
- Implemented support for new trading modes for Symbols: Added symbols properties, icons and reject reasons popups: Buy Only (only Buy orders are allowed) and Sell Only (only Sell orders are allowed), Short Only (only Sell orders and closing Short positions are allowed) and updated icon for Long Only trading mode.
- Clear Visibility of Trading Volume: Enjoy a clear display of Traded Volume in the trading history. Explore this feature within the Trading window under History.
- Updated the Exposure calculation: Trading window > Exposure.
- Seamless Chart Management: Never lose a chart again with the ability to reopen deleted charts. Locate this feature conveniently under File > Open Deleted.
- Undo Deletions Effortlessly: Rectify errors in chart objects effortlessly with the Undo Delete option in the Chart context menu or via the CTRL+Z hotkey.
- Intuitive Drag-and-Drop for Orders on Charts: Implemented intuitive drag-and-drop functionality for Stop Loss and Take Profit when dragging the order line on a chart.
- Simplified Chart Object Addition: Adding chart objects is now more straightforward than ever. Access your favourite objects listed in the Chart context menu, now conveniently available in the toolbar.
- Effortless Order Modification:Open the Modify Order Dialog instantly by double-clicking on an order line in the chart.
- Modern Icons for a Sleek Interface: Enjoy updated icons in Orders and History grids for a sophisticated and modern interface.
- Optimised Symbol List in New Order Dialog: Enjoy a curated symbol list in the New Order Dialog, displaying only favourites from Market Watch and symbols from your portfolio.
- Quick Access with Indicator Context Menu: Access indicators swiftly with the new context menu in the Chart window.
- Customization with No Colour Mode: Personalise your charts further with the ability to use no colour mode in chart objects. Access this feature in Object properties > Common > Style.
- Efficient Object Selection: Added the ability to select objects by a single mouse click. Adjust this setting under Settings > Chart.
- Test Account Connection Button: Ensure a smooth trading experience by testing your account connection with the new Test Account Connection button in the Algo server explorer window.
- Upgraded Algo-Module to the Latest Version: Stay ahead with our upgraded Algo-module to version #1.23.3772.0, reinforcing our commitment to cutting-edge trading technology.
- Continuous Refinement for a Seamless Experience: Our dedication to providing you with an unparalleled trading experience is reflected in various improvements and bug fixes.
2. FXOpen has expanded its tradable markets by adding 19 new ETF CFDs
FXOpen announced a significant enhancement to our trading markets with the addition of 19 new exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the form of contracts for difference (CFDs) to our TickTrader platform.
The 19 new CFDs include a variety of exchange-traded funds, 17 of which are provided by Global X, a reputable New York-based provider of ETFs traded on the Arca exchange of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). NYSE Arca is an advanced electronic communications network (ECN) operated by the New York Stock Exchange. The remaining two ETFs are available through iShares, BlackRock's renowned ETF product line.
ETF CFD trading is available with leverage of up to 1:5.
3. Important Updates for MT4 and MT5
FXOpen reported of some significant updates to the MetaTrader4 (MT4) and MetaTrader5 (MT5) platforms.
Effective December 1, 2023, the following minimum software versions are required for trading platforms:
- MetaTrader 4 build 1380, released on March 24
- MetaTrader 5 build 3802, released on June 9
4. FXOpen announced the launch a new contest: TickTrader Challenge-3.
FXOpen presented the TickTrader Challenge-3, a new competition for members of the FXOpen forum that is available to clients of FXOpen International (FXOpen Markets Limited) and has a greater prize pool of USD 650.
Conditions of the contest:
- The initial deposit must be increased by at least 20% and the minimum quantity of trades must be 10;
- trading instruments (including oil and gas): all (TickTrader ECN);
- account type: demo (competition) ECN (TickTrader);
- EAs and locking: allowed;
- maximum number of trades opened at the same time (including pending orders): 5;
- maximum volume of one order: 1 (lot);
- leverage: 1:100;
- margin call: 100%;
- stop out: 50%.
Rewards for Top-10 traders:
- 1 st place – USD 250
- 2 nd place – USD 100
- 3 rd place – USD 70
- 4 th place – USD 60
- 5 th place – USD 50
- 6 th place – USD 30
- 7 th place – USD 30
- 8 th place – USD 20
- 9 th place - USD 20
- 10 th place - USD 20
Prize Withdrawal
Prizes are credited to FXOpen's TickTrader account and can be withdrawn if the withdrawal conditions are met: for every $2 of the prize, a contestant has to make 1 deal (+/- 40 points). The minimum number of transactions is 10 for USD 20.
The prizes will be added to the participants’ TickTrader accounts registered with FXOpen.
5. Unlocked New Trading Opportunities with 1:1000 Leverage
FXOpen announced that we increased the leverage from 1:500 to 1:1000 when trading forex or metal CFDs on the TickTrader trading platform.
The increased leverage will allow you to enjoy the following benefits:
- Enhanced trading flexibility: With leverage of up to 1:1000, you will have increased flexibility in managing your positions. This means you can trade larger volumes with the same amount of capital, allowing you to diversify your portfolio and explore new trading opportunities.
- Reduced margin requirements: Higher leverage means lower margin requirements. This can help optimise the utilisation of funds, potentially freeing up funds for other trades or strategies.
- Risk management: While higher leverage offers greater potential for profit, it's essential to remember that it also carries higher risk. We encourage you to review your risk management strategies.

7. FXOpen introduced three new currency pairs
FXOpen is pleased to announce the addition of the Hungarian Forint and Czech Koruna to its asset pool, paired with the US Dollar and Euro: USD/HUF, EUR/HUF, USD/CZK.
The broadening of the selection of currency pairs is due to increased client demand for these markets.
8. FXOpen has reduced the minimum trade size for index CFDs
FXOpen announced that we have lowered the minimum trade size to 0.01 from 0.1 lot on index CFDs. This means less margin is required to place a trade, and it allows traders to trade index CFDs in a smaller size.
Combined with our recently launched commission free trading on index CFDs, and the increasingly tight spreads offered, we are determined to ensure our clients have the most affordable, convenient and beneficial trading experience possible with FXOpen.
9. 2022 ForexCup Trading Championship Finals, Launch of FTC 2023 Announced
ForexCup, a high-tier trading championship, sponsored by FXOpen, is announcing the winner of the 2022 season, who successfully traded his way to over 800% gain on their initial deposit, claiming his $50,000 prize, together with a commemorative crystal trophy.
Out of around 30 geographically diverse competing accounts, the top three winners demonstrated remarkable results:
- Seyit Altuntas: 829.78% gain on the initial deposit (winner of $50,000 and a crystal trophy).
