How to edit the account Trader's Password?

A user can change the trader's password for the selected trading account (live/demo) in the TickTrader Web Terminal.
To do this:
  • Go to the Settings  to the left of the TickTrader account number.
  • Select User Profile > TT Account Info.
  • Click Edit User Account .
     
  • Click Change Password in the 'Account Info' section.

  • Log in to the 'Edit account' area with the credentials received after having registered a TickTrader account: server, login (account number), password (Trader's password), and the security code from the image. Click Log in.

  • Enter your actual Trader's password (Old Password). Enter a new password and confirm it.
    Note: Your new Trader password should contain at least 10 symbols including one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number!
    Click Save. You can also save and generate the QR code for the new credential.

How to manage the account options?

A user can enable some options on the account.
To enable an option:
  • Go to the Settings  to the left of the TickTrader account number.
  • Select User Profile > TT Account Info.
  • Click Edit User Account 
  • Go to the 'Option' section. Select the checkbox(es):
    • Blocked. To block the account, i.e. to make it inactive. A user will not be able to log in the terminal with this account. To unblock the account, please contact the support service.
    • Read only. To limit the account rights to 'read only' option. A user will not be able to manage the account and perform trade operations.
    • WebAPI Enabled. To enable access to TickTrader via Web API.

  • Click Save.

How to manage the account login and Web API tokens?

A user can add the account login, create a new Web API token, or generate/delete 2FA key.
To do this:
  • Go to the Settings  to the  left of the TickTrader account number.
  • Select User Profile > TT Account Info.
  • Click Edit User Account 
  • Click the Next button at the bottom of the page.

    Select one of the actions:
    • Sessions. Active account sessions.
    • Generate new 2 FA key. To enable 2FA to add a secure layer to your TickTrader account.
      Scan the QR code and add the key to Google Authenticator or any other installed authenticator app.
    • Delete 2FA key. To disable 2 FA. Once the 2FA key is generated and enabled, it can be deleted.
    • Create new Web API token. To create a new Web API token.
      Note! Web API tokens are available for the accounts with the selected 'Web API Enabled' option.

    • Create new Login. To create the account. Enter the account login, 10-symbol password, click Save or Save and generate QR-code.


  • All the authentication types are displayed in the table. Here a user can change the rights for account (Full, Blocked, Read-only), enable 'Must Change Password' and 'Two Factor Authentication' options and manage authentication types. 
    Click More... to manage an authentication type.
    • Validate. To enable the selected authentication type (login/token).
    • Modify. To change the selected authentication type: to change login password, token authentication type (HMAC/Basic), to reset Web API key and Web API secret.
    • Delete. To delete a login or token.
  • To log out from the 'Account Logins and Web API Tokens' page, click Log out.

How to delete a trading account?

A user can delete a trading account.
To do this:
  • Go to the Settings  to the  left of the TickTrader account number.
  • Select User Profile > TT Account Info.
  • Click Delete account.
  • Log in to the 'Delete account' area with the credentials received after having registered a TickTrader account: serverlogin (account number), password (Trader's password), and the security code from the image. Click Log in.
  • Click the Delete account button to delete the entire account record, along with associated personal data, open positions, pending orders, balance and trade history.
    Note: Make sure your account info, including portfolio, balance and trade history, is properly managed (closed, transferred, archived, etc) before it will completely be deleted.
