Alerts

TickTrader Web Terminal offers the possibility to use trade alerts to be notified about the desired trade event. Once the alert is triggered, the trading platform will send you a notification: email, Telegram, or Push notification.
On the Alerts
 tab, you can add new alerts about order/position status, price change, quotes or time condition, and economic calendar condition. The created alerts can be modified, deleted, or switched on/off by a user.


How to add a new alert?

On the Alerts tab, click Add New Alert .
To add a new alert, select the alert type and set the conditions. There are the following alert types:
  1. Order/Position Status: The Order/Position status is changed.
    Select the condition under which the Order/Position alert will trigger.

    o   Any Modification: The order/position was changed.

    o   Order Activated: The order was fully or partially activated which resulted in exchange operation or position creation.

    o   Order/Position Modified: The order/position was modified.

    o   Order/Position Closed: The order/position was closed.


  2. Quotes: The current value reached the specified value, selected in the condition.

    Select the condition under which the Quotes alert will trigger: the Bid/Ask price is equal or higher/ lower than the specified Value. The Spread value is equal or higher/ lower than the specified Value.

  3. Price Changed: The specified price condition is reached.
    Select the condition under which the Price Change alert will trigger: Bid/Ask price or Spread reached the minimum/maximum value or the specified deviation, which is calculated in % from the current price of the symbol.

  4. Time Condition: The specified time condition (specified date) was reached.
    Select the condition under which the Time condition alert will trigger: date and time.

  5. Account State: The specified account state was reached.
    Select the condition under which the Account State alert will trigger: There are the following account states:

    o  Margin Call: Margin Call level is reached.

    o  Margin Call Revocation: Margin Call level is revoked.

    o  Stop Out: Stop Out level is reached.

    o  Margin Level: The specified level of Margin is reached.

    o  Equity: The specific level of Equity is reached.

  6. Economic Calendar Condition: The specified economic calendar conditions are reached.
    Select the condition under which the Economic Calendar Condition alert will trigger: economic calendar event happened. 
    You can select the currency and the volatility level (High, Low, Moderate). 
    Event volatility level is a basic indicator of the potential move a data release might impact the markets and trigger on currencies. Thus, events with a high volatility level are expected to have great probability to move the Forex market.
Once the alert type is selected together with the alert condition (if available), please check the following checkboxes including the alert expiration date and alert action (notification type):
            
Click Test to test the alert, and click Apply to save the new alert. The created alert will appear in the table, where you can manage it.

How to manage alerts?

On the Alerts tab, you can easily manage your alerts directly in the table.

  • Switch On/Off: Alert is switched on, i.e. active (). Alert is switched off, i.e. inactive ().
  • Modify Alert: Alert can be modified (): you can change the alert data depending on the alert type (as described above).
  • Delete Alert: Alert can be deleted (). The deleted alert will disappear from the table.
You can also refresh the alert table to update it. To do this, click Refresh Alerts .

Alert settings

Click  on the Alert tab or click User Profile > Notifications to change server notifications and communication settings.
  • Server Notification: Select the notifications you want to receive and the way you receive them.
    Select 'Remove alerts for orders that are not in the Order list' to receive alerts only for the orders in your Orders list. 
    Click Save to save the notifications which will be sent to you as an email, Telegram message, or Push notification to a mobile device. Click Delete to clear all the checkboxes. 
  • Sever Communication: The settings on this tab refer to notifications on the server side (work through the Alert Service). They will work regardless of whether the user's terminal is open.

    Email

    • SMTP server:port: Address of the SMTP server and port used. This server will be utilized to send the message. The record must be made in the following format "[server web address]:[port number]". For example, "smtp.company.com:587" where " smtp.company.com " is the server web address, "587" is the port number.
    • SMTP login: Login to be authorized on the trade server. Normally, it is an electronic mailbox. Example: name@company.com.
    • SMTP password: Password to be authorized (mailbox access password).
    • Enable SSL: Select this check box if the corresponding SMTP server requires this option.
    • From: The email address, from which the message will be sent. In this field, there must be name and emailing address on the mail server, the SMTP of which will be utilized.
    • To: The email address, to which the messages will be sent.

    Telegram
    • Bot Token: A short phrase that acts as a “key”. 
    • Chat ID: Telegram chat Id.

    The Test button sends a test message using the settings specified to test their workability. In case the test did not succeed, it is recommended to check all settings again, restart the terminal and resend the test message.
    To apply the settings, click the Save button. Click Delete to clear the fields.
